ATTENDANCE

80% attendance is required and no relaxation of any kind will be granted to a student who fails to fulfil the school's requirement. In case attendance is short, the student will not be eligible for any academic prize.

A Student's name will be struck off the rolls on account of continued, unexplained absence for six consecutive days.

Medical Fitness certificate is necessary in case of illness of more than five days. Even a day's absence during the examination on medical grounds is required to be supported by a Medical Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner.

There is no provision for short / half day leave.

In case of emergency please take written permission from the Principal / HM, Class Teacher on the prescribed form available at the school reception.

Do not send your child to school when sick, to attend classes.

The school gates will close 10 minutes after the school begins.

If a child is late to school more than twice, he/she shall be sent back home.

Your co-operation is sought to ensure that children are regular, punctual and disciplined.

If Due to certain emergencies, a student has to leave the school during school hours under his/her own arrangement, the following rules will be observed :
- Only authorised persons mentioned in the I Card will be allowed to pick up the child.
- A written request from the parent / guardian is required.
- A permission slip is to be obtained and shown at the school gate before leaving the school
ABSENCE
- Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than six consecutive days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls; re-admission may be granted only on payment of fresh admission fee provided the vacancy still exists
- All children are expected to attend school on the opening day after every vacation. Those absent because of sickness must present a medical certificate before they join the class.
- A child returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a fitness certificate from a doctor.
- Students suffering from any one of the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class:
- Chicken Pox - Till complete falling of scabs
- Measles - Two weeks after the rash disappears
- Mumps - Until the swelling has gone
- Whooping Cough - Six weeks
- Jaundice - Six weeks after recovery
RULES
- To get the best from the school for your child, you are advised to maintain close contact with the school.
- Please cooperate with the school by paying attention to your ward's regularity, punctuality, neat turn out and discipline and by taking interest in his / her work.
- Do check the bag of your ward for any circular, worksheet, invitation or homework given in the almanac. Remarks put down in the almanac should be seen and countersigned regularly.
- Any communication made by you should be addressed to the Principal and not to the Class Teacher. Mention your child's name, address, phone number, admission number, class and section, clearly on it.
- As the medium of instruction in the school is English, students should be helped to follow their work easily and intelligently by a certain amount of regular conversation in English at home.
- Please read and explain the school rules to your ward.
- Please be sure to inform the school in writing if there is any change in your address and telephone number.
- Parents and guardians must not visit their wards or teachers during school hours without the prior permission of the Principal / Headmistress.
RESPONSIBILITY & CONSIDRATION
- Please do not give mobile phones to your child. Disciplinary action will be taken against any child carrying a mobile phone.
- Please do ensure that no net - surfing by your ward is done at home without your supervision and close monitoring.
- Children tend to pick up abusive language / foul words from the media and different sources without understanding their meaning. We are taking requisite measures to counsel and check them at our end and request you to take corrective action at your end too.
- Kindly label all belongings and uniform of your children neatly with the name, class, section and roll no. of your child.
- Your attention is drawn to the fact that criticism of a teacher or school in the presence of the child, causes him / her to lose respect for the same and will hinder his / her progress.
- Care must be taken of all school property. No student should damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls. Damage done should be reported at once to the class teacher. Any damage caused will result in penal action against concerned students.
- No books (other than text books or library books), magazines, papers, VCDs, DVDs, USBs, mobile phones or cameras should be brought to school.
- Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is strictly prohibited.
- The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches, fountain pens, items of jewellery) to school.
- Students who come to school with their escorts should never leave before the escort arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school office.
- The school reserves the right to suspend students whose progress in studies is unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
- Parents and guardians of all students should contact the teachers on the PTM days to note the progress of their wards.
- A student who uses unfair means during tests will be given no marks in the subject and a warning letter will be issued to this effect. Repetition of the same will result in suspension / expulsion.
- Special badges given by the school must be worn daily.
- A sick child should not be sent to school. In case of an emergency, the person must carry a letter from the parent to take the child home.
- Students are not allowed to go to a relative's/friend's house from school.
- Students are allowed to distribute only two toffees / sweets of well known brands to their classmates on the occasion of their birthday. No other celebration is allowed.
- Parents are requested to send the lunch box or art / craft material or any other material required along with the student. Any packet sent to school later will not be accepted due to security reasons.
- Student are not allowed to bring motor cycle /scooters or any kinds of motorized Vehicles to the School. The School is not responsible for the bicycle parked in the School premises.
- Parents /Guardians are not allowed to meet their wards or the teachers in classrooms. If any parent wants, for whatever reason, to meet the ward during school hours, he /she should contact the reception. Parents / Guardians are earnestly requested to check the note books and hand books of the Students regularly and help the School to maintain a high standard.
- Parents are requested to keep a strict watch over their child to see if he /she ever brings home stolen property. They are also requested to provide their child with sufficient things so that he/she does not resort to stealing.
- The name and standard of the pupil should be prominently marked on all the articles of the student.
- The school insists on the maintenance of the strict discipline. Any student who violates the set rules will not be allowed to attend the School. The principle servers the right to dismiss any student without assigning any reason.
- Parents must attend parent-Teacher Meeting regularly.
- Giving gift to staff is strictly prohibited. Such action will be seriously dealt with.
- Parents are requested not to interfere in the School administration. However written suggestions are always welcome.
Withdrawal
- If a child has to be withdrawn from school, parents are requested to give one calendar month's notice in writing, failing which, one month's fee will be charged in lieu thereof. Exception may be made in case of sudden transfer of Government or Military personnel.
- Those who leave the school in May must in all cases pay the fee for the month of June.
- Transfer Certificate for children withdrawn are not issued until all dues are settled.
- Students can be asked to leave the school on the following grounds:
- Disciplinary
- Unsatisfactory progress in work
- Detention or repeated detention in a class
As a rule only those students will be retained on the roll of the school who can take the school leaving examination under 18 years of age.
- A student who fails twice in the same class will not be permitted to continue his/her studies in the school.
