CLUBS FOR STUDENTS

Eco Club

It works to reduce the negative impact on the environment. The aim of Club is to

            • Motivate and spread awareness to develop concern and balance with the nature that sustain us.
            • Run campaigns to channelize the constructive ways to protect the environment.

Activities Undertaken :

          • To create awareness and behavioural changes among the students to save our environment
          • Motivating students to take part in various Eco-club activities
          • Sensitizing students and general public on environmental problems
          • Launching of sister clubs to facilitate work of Eco-Club

 

Energy Club

When we reduce the amount of energy we use, we not only lessen our impact on the environment, we also (sometimes in the short-run, sometimes in the long-run) save money!

 

The aim of Club is to

    • Teach others for reducing the cost of consumption of energy and damage to the environment.
    • Focus on renewable energy
    • Stop Global warming

Activities Undertaken :

  •   Sensitizing all the students and general public to save energy
  •   To keep a check on the misuse of electricity in the School and at home
  •   Taking part in the workshop organised by NDPL once in a month
  •   Maintaining a record of use/overuse of energy

 

Waste Management Club

Effective waste management strategies contribute to the creation of a cleaner, less wasteful and more sustainable society. The aim of Waste management Club is to:

              • Conserve resources of water, energy, raw materials and nutrients
              • Maintain corporate social responsibility
              • Understand waste stocks and flows.

 

Activities Undertaken :

  • Ban on Plastic bags in the school
  • Management of waste in the School
  • Recycling and Reusing of Waste Paper
  • Production of manure through Vermin Compost Pit
  • Organic Farming (Kitchen Garden)

Water Management Club

Water is integral to the health, vibrancy and diversity of the province as a whole.

It works to reduce water loss, use and its wastage and to encourage everyone to improve water management practices to check the excess use of water.

The aim of Club is to

          • Encourage people to use rain water wherever possible
          • Reduce excessive use of water
          • Recycle waste water in environmentally responsible manner.

 

Activities Undertaken :

  • To make Students aware about conservation of water
  • To make Students aware about the significance of rain water harvesting
  • To make Students aware about the limited sources water available to us.
  • To minimize the wastage of water in the School premises, at home and the suuroundings.

 

Health Club:

Health club provides the education, one important activity that is commonly undertaken to promote health. It is the communication of information that enables people to make decisions about to follow those health-related activities at all stages of life which are conducive for proper health.

 

The Aim of Health club is to:

  • Expose individuals to a variety of activities and experience related to health.
  • Help individuals develop a sound understanding of their total development and enable them to attain positive self-images.
  • Provide opportunities for individuals to make personal decisions related to their intellectual, physical and emotional development.

Activities Undertaken :

  • To teach them the importance of healthy food in their life.
  • To make students aware of healthy eating and dietary habits.
  • To organise fun exercises, workshops, seminars and activities to sensitize students for good health
  • To organise free health check up camps in the school.
